Kerem Akın was born on August 25, 1986, in Samsun. After spending his primary school years in Ankara, he moved to Salzburg, Austria, with his family in 1995. Drawing attention with his interest in music from a young age, Akın took his first steps into his DJing career at the age of 17 and soon began to gain recognition in the music world by performing under the name “DJ Jackson” in Salzburg’s leading nightclubs.

In 2008, meeting the internationally renowned Polish DJ Tomekk became a significant turning point in his career. His remix of Tomekk’s single “Touch It” took its place in his career as Akın’s first professional music production. Releasing his first solo single in 2015, Kerem Akın solidified his presence in the music world through the record label he founded that same year under the name “Tuğrem Müzik.” Throughout his DJing career abroad, which has continued for over 15 years, he has performed with many famous artists and taken part in various music productions.

Returning permanently to Turkey in 2019, Kerem Akın discovered a new field in his artistic career. In the same year, he had his first acting experience with the series “Elimi Bırakma,” and this experience reinforced his interest in acting. To improve himself in the field of acting, he began receiving theater training at the Cengiz Küçükayvaz Theater in 2019, followed by completing his education in the Theater and On-Camera Acting department at the Müjdat Gezen Art Center, graduating in 2021.

Kerem Akın adapted quickly to his acting career and took roles in noteworthy projects in a short time. He has performed in many successful productions such as “Yasak Elma”, “Şampiyon”, “Mucize Doktor”, “Evlilik Hakkında Her Şey”, “Kardeşlerim”, “Baba” and “Arka Sokaklar.”

Known for his interest in different branches of art, Akın is also professionally involved in the sport of karate in addition to his music and acting careers. Placing art and sports at the center of his life, Kerem Akın continues his career with firm steps through his disciplined and multifaceted approach.
